She is an educator and lawyer by training and started her career at the Minnesota Chamber of Commerce, followed by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce before co-founding Ranku which participated in the Techstars Edtech accelerator in 2013.

Ranku was a software company that combined recruitment technology and predictive analytics software to level the playing field for universities with less marketing knowledge and experience. Ultimately it enabled higher education systems to increase enrollment while simultaneously decreasing marketing spend. As the COO, she created and implemented business development strategy, recruited talent, and maintained operations management. It was acquired in 2016 by John Wiley & Sons.

More recently, she was the COO at a telehealth company, PresenceLearning. She reimagined the customer and clinical journey in this role and positioned the business to scale while more than tripling its revenue. She was responsible for formulating operational guidance, including developing strategic cross-functional initiatives, building dashboards aligned to the long-term objectives, and translating vision into actionable plans defined by key performance indicators. They were acquired in November 2021.
